1. Introduction

SubZero Gym ("the App") is developed by ShadowPing LLC ("we", "us", or "our"). This Privacy Policy explains how we handle your information when you use our App.

2. Information We Collect

Profile Data: Name, age, gender, height, weight, fitness goals, experience level, and equipment selections. You can create multiple profiles within the app. This data is stored locally on your device.

Workout Preferences: Your schedule, time constraints, training preferences, and notification settings. This data is stored locally on your device.

Workout History: Records of your completed workouts, including exercises performed, sets, reps, weights used, RPE (Rate of Perceived Exertion), and RIR (Reps In Reserve). This data is stored locally on your device for progress tracking.

Progress Data: Analytics and statistics derived from your workout history, including total volume, personal records, muscle group balance, muscle recovery estimates, strength level badges, workout streaks, and readiness scores. This data is calculated and stored locally on your device.

Apple Health Data: With your permission, SubZero Gym can read and write workout data to Apple Health (HealthKit). This includes workout duration, calories burned, heart rate (if available from connected devices), and workout type. SubZero Gym intelligently categorizes your workouts when exporting—mixed cardio and strength sessions are exported as Cross Training, strength-only as Traditional Strength Training, and cardio with appropriate activity types. This integration allows you to sync your SubZero Gym workouts with Apple's Health app and other connected fitness apps.

Smart AI Health Data (Pro and above): With your permission, SubZero Gym may read additional HealthKit data including sleep duration, heart rate variability (HRV), and recovery metrics. This data is used to calculate daily readiness scores and provide personalized AI coaching insights. This data is processed locally on your device and through our AI infrastructure but is not stored on external servers.

Journal Integration: SubZero Gym can suggest workouts as entries for Apple Journal using the JournalingSuggestions framework. This is entirely optional and processed locally by iOS. No journal data is transmitted to external servers.

Apple Watch Data: With your permission, SubZero Gym uses Apple WorkoutKit to schedule and sync workouts to Apple Watch. Workout schedules are stored on your devices and subject to Apple's privacy policies. We do not store or transmit your Apple Watch workout data to external servers.

Nutrition Profile Data: You may optionally enter nutrition-related information including dietary restrictions, allergies, current medications, and blood work results. This data is stored locally on your device and is only sent to AI providers when generating personalized supplement recommendations. We do not store this data on external servers.

AI Request Data: When you generate workout plans or supplement recommendations, your profile information is sent to our secure AI infrastructure. This data is processed but not stored on our servers.

Share Cards: SubZero Gym allows you to generate shareable images (Share Cards) displaying your workout achievements, personal records, streaks, and progress stats. These cards are generated locally on your device and saved to your photo library. When you share these cards via social media or messaging apps, sharing is handled by iOS and subject to the privacy policies of those platforms. We do not collect or store any data about your sharing activity.

Anonymous Analytics: We collect anonymous, aggregated analytics to understand subscription tier selection patterns and improve our offerings. This includes only aggregate statistics such as which subscription tiers are most popular. No device identifiers, personal information, or individual usage patterns are collected.

3. How We Use Your Information

Your information is used to:

• Generate personalized workout plans through AI
• Generate AI-powered supplement recommendations based on your fitness goals
• Track your workout history and calculate progress analytics
• Sync workout data with Apple Health (if you grant permission)
• Send workout reminders (if you enable notifications)

We do not use your data for advertising, third-party analytics, or any purpose other than providing app functionality.

4. Data Storage

Local Storage: All your profile data, preferences, workout history, progress analytics, and generated plans are stored locally on your device using iOS secure storage.

iCloud Sync: For Pro+ and Elite+ subscribers, profile data, workout history, and generated plans may be synced across your devices using Apple iCloud. This data is stored in your personal iCloud account and is subject to Apple's privacy policies. We do not have access to your iCloud data. Each device syncs independently with your iCloud account.

Apple Health: If you enable HealthKit integration, workout data is shared with Apple Health according to your permissions. This data is managed by Apple and subject to Apple's privacy policies.

Server Processing: AI requests are processed through our secure infrastructure powered by ShadowPing AI. Your data is transmitted securely and processed only for the purpose of generating your workout plans and supplement recommendations. No personal data is stored on our servers.

5. Data Security

We implement robust security measures including:

• Apple App Attestation for cryptographic device verification
• AES-256 encryption for data transmission
• Secure API infrastructure hosted on enterprise-grade cloud services
• No storage of personal data on external servers

6. Third-Party Services

The App uses AI providers (such as Claude, OpenAI, Gemini, Grok, DeepSeek, Groq, and Perplexity) to generate workout plans. Your profile information is sent to these services solely for workout generation. These providers process requests according to their respective privacy policies, but we do not share any personally identifiable information with them.

On-Device AI: SubZero Gym offers optional on-device AI processing (Basic tier and above) called Yeti AI. Two model tiers are available: Yeti (~877MB, iPhone 12+) and Yeti Pro (~2.0GB, iPhone 14+). When using Yeti AI features such as profile validation, equipment analysis, exercise substitutions, exercise explanations, and Yeti Chat (Beta), your data never leaves your device. No internet connection is required. The downloaded model is stored locally and can be deleted at any time through the app settings.

Voice Input: Yeti AI accepts 98 voice commands for hands-free workout control. Voice input is processed entirely on-device using Apple's Speech Framework. Voice recordings are not stored, transmitted, or retained. No audio data leaves your device.

Weather Data: Yeti Chat (Beta) can provide weather-based workout recommendations using Apple WeatherKit. When you ask weather-related questions, your device's location is used to fetch current weather conditions. Location data is sent only to Apple's WeatherKit service and is subject to Apple's privacy policies. We do not store, track, or transmit your location data to any other servers. Weather queries are optional and only occur when you explicitly ask Yeti about weather conditions.

Smart Plan Regeneration: When you regenerate your workout plan mid-cycle (Pro tier and above), your completed workout history and progress are preserved locally. Regeneration audit trails are stored with your plan data on-device and are not transmitted to external servers.

Apple Watch: The SubZero Gym Apple Watch companion app (Pro tier and above) collects heart rate data during workouts to provide recovery indicators and rest timer optimization. Heart rate data is synced between your Apple Watch and iPhone app and stored locally on your devices. This data is used to determine when you have recovered sufficiently between sets and to display heart rate zone information. Heart rate data is not transmitted to external servers. Watch face complications display workout progress data (set counts, elapsed time, workout type) directly on your watch face. This data is processed locally and is not transmitted externally.

Live Activity & Dynamic Island: When using Live Activities (Pro tier and above, iPhone 14+), workout information including timer, exercise name, set progress, volume, and heart rate (when Watch is connected) is displayed on your Lock Screen and Dynamic Island. This information is processed locally and is not transmitted to external servers. Live Activities end automatically when your workout is completed.

Widgets: SubZero Gym provides Home Screen and Lock Screen widgets (Pro tier and above) that display fitness data such as next workout, weekly progress, schedule, personal records, streaks, and stats. Widget data is shared between the main app and widgets via App Groups, stored locally in shared UserDefaults. This data is not transmitted to external servers. Widgets refresh automatically when workouts are completed or plans change.

System Integrations: SubZero Gym integrates with iOS system features (Pro tier and above) including Siri Shortcuts, App Intents, Control Center Controls, Focus Filters, and StandBy Mode. These integrations use fitness data already stored locally on your device to provide quick actions and contextual information. No additional data is collected or transmitted to external servers through these integrations.

7. Data Retention

Your data is stored locally on your device for as long as the App is installed. Uninstalling the App removes all local data. No personal data is retained on our servers.

8. Your Rights

You have complete control over your data:

• Delete all data by uninstalling the App
• Reset your profile at any time within the App
• Choose when to generate new workout plans

Data Portability: Because your data is stored locally on your device, you maintain complete ownership and control. For users with iCloud sync enabled, data export is available through Apple's Data & Privacy portal at privacy.apple.com.

Family Sharing: For subscribers using Apple Family Sharing (Pro+ and Elite+ tiers), each family member's data remains completely separate and private. Family members cannot access each other's profiles, workout history, or generated plans.

9. Children's Privacy

SubZero Gym is intended for users 13 years of age and older. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by updating the "Effective Date" at the top of this policy.
